Combine several PDF files easily

Combine PDFs is a very useful little tool to combine all your PDFs into one.

You sometimes need to join and view all your PDFs, whether to print them out, read or simply organize. While it's not possible to do this with Adobe PDF Reader, you can use Combine PDFs. This nifty tool lets you add an unlimited number of PDF items and merge them. Either drag and drop PDFs into the program's interface or add them via the Finder.

Combine PDFs lets you add a new title to the combined PDFs, change the author and creator. You can search files in preview mode and sort by page number. The latest version of the application handles JPEGs and PNGs in PDFs much better as they are no longer recompressed. Do take into account though that the more PDFs you want to merge the more time the process will take.

All in all, a clever tool to have around to merge PDFs into one.

Nice free utility that easily does its job. Version 3.0 worked great on 10.6.8! Very spartan interface, but intuitive and functional. Could easily re-order pages, add blank pages, and group rotate pages. Output looked like originals and combined file size was appropriate. I recommend it.Tried 3 jobs. Job 1 was 7 pdfs into one. Job 2 was 7 jpgs, each rotated 180 degrees since the scans were upside-down, and saved to 1 pdf. Job 3 was 50 pages total from 2 text pdfs and 7 mixed text-and-graphics (2.1 MB total for the combined files). All 3 worked as intended, and Job 3 took about 3 seconds on my MacBook Pro 2 GHz Intel Core i7. For a more difficult test, I just combined 114 pdfs-114 MB of files total - to 1800 pages in a single 142.3 MB file and it took 70 seconds. Seems reasonable to me.The interface doesn't tell you how many pages the total document will be, there is just a running tally at the bottom of the screen showing how many pages you've combined into how many pdfs over the history of your installation. Pros: Easy to useFastFree/donateware Cons: Can't complain

Lion. Hey I've always loved this program but when I upgraded to Lion as an operating system it was no longer available. Is there a new download of this program that is Lion Compatible?

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
